Ramsau am Dachstein is the No. 1 Via Ferrata area in the Alps in summer with 17 Via Ferratas including 2 specifically for children and young people. There are 22 signposted routes for mountain bike holidays. From a 1-hour excursion to a 3-day tour – the Dachstein tour. E-bikes are available for rental for leisurely cyclists, and 5 battery stations along the routes never leave the e-biker without juice.

In winter, Ramsau am Dachstein is one of the top 3 cross-country skiing destinations in the Alps. 150 km of classic cross-country trails, 70 km of skating trails, and above all, around 30 huts, snack bars, and farmhouses along the trails make a cross-country skiing holiday a welcome break from everyday life. Ramsau am Dachstein is also in association with Skiamadé – one ski pass is valid for 860 km of slopes in 25 resorts. The surrounding ski mountains of the 4-mountain ski area are the Planai, Hauser Kaibling, Hochwurzen, Reiteralm, Rittisberg, and of course the Dachstein.
